I'm the ceramicist behind Heteroform Keramik.

I started this business in 2020 after a long run-up, where I had been dreaming about doing ceramics for many years, but with a career in academia (medical doctor and Phd), there was not much time to explore this side of life.

The moment I finally connected with the clay, it was like a light switch was turned on in my brain. I felt an intense jolt of inspiration, my creativity erupted and ceramics took over the most of my waking hours. I feel a magical and awesome affinity with clay. If there is such thing as a kindred spirit in earthy materials, for me it is clay. I love every part of the proces (apart from wedging, I have to be honest), the throwing, sculpting, pinch-potting, glazing and firering. I put so much love and attention in every single piece. I practice a lot, and my goal is to improve and refine each and every step in the proces of making a simple coffee cup, for you to hold in your hands. I'm certain, that all the hours of hard work, is absolutely worth it. I hope you do too.
